3003 Spinning Aluminum Disc Circles

What is 3003 aluminum disc

3003 aluminum discs are made of manganese-based rust-resistant aluminum alloy, possessing excellent rust and corrosion resistance. They are stronger than 1060 pure aluminum, have moderate plasticity, are not prone to cracking during deep drawing and stamping, have good thermal conductivity, are resistant to moisture and weak acid corrosion, and have a smooth surface that is easy to spray and coat.

They are suitable for long-term humid environments. They are widely used in rust-resistant kitchenware (steamers, aluminum lunch boxes, food storage containers, non-stick cookware substrates), kitchen and bathroom hardware, air conditioner heat sinks, lamp reflectors, food packaging seals, shallow chemical containers, signs, and outdoor decorative round accessories.

Uses

Cookware (non-stick pans, pressure cooker bottoms), lampshades, traffic signs, and chemical containers, etc.

Most common tempers

1. 3003-O aluminum circle

It offers the best ductility and is very common for deep drawing, spinning, cookware, pots, pressure cookers, and other formed parts.

2. 3003-h14 aluminum disc

One of the most widely stocked tempers. It is used for general stamping, lighting reflectors, traffic signs, utensils, and moderate-forming applications.

3. 3003-h24 aluminum circle

It has similar nominal hardness to H14 but with a different processing route; common where improved forming behavior or stress-relief characteristics are desired.

Application

  • Cookware: pots, pans, woks, and lids

  • Kitchen appliances: rice cookers, kettles, and pressure cookers

  • Lighting: lampshades and reflectors

  • Household items: trays, bowls, and containers

  • Industrial parts: stamped covers, heat plates, and machine components

  • Decorative products: signs, clock faces, and metal crafts

FAQs

1. Can 3003 aluminum circles be deep drawn?

Yes. 3003 alloy has good deep-drawing and spinning properties, especially in O temper.

2.What is the difference between 1050 and 3003 aluminum circles?

1050 is purer aluminum with better conductivity, while 3003 has manganese added for higher strength and better durability.

3. Can 3003 aluminum circles be anodized?

Yes, but the anodized finish may appear less bright or slightly uneven compared with pure aluminum alloys such as 1050 or 1060.

4. Can 3003 aluminum circles be coated or painted?

Yes. They can be painted, powder coated, non-stick coated, or otherwise surface treated.

5. What surface finishes are available?

Common finishes include mill finish, polished, brushed, embossed, anodized, and coated surfaces.

6. Is 3003 aluminum good for cookware?

Yes. It has good corrosion resistance, heat conductivity, and forming performance, making it suitable for cookware production.
