Aluminum discs for electrical components
Thanks to their excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, lightweight and corrosion-resistant nature, and processing advantages—such as ease of stamping and high dimensional precision—aluminum discs serve as a core, fundamental material in the manufacture of electrical components.
Commonly utilized alloys include 1060, 1050, and 3003, which are selected to meet specific electrical operating requirements. These discs are suitable for a wide range of applications, including capacitors, transformer accessories, electromagnetic shielding components, heat sinks for electrical and lighting equipment, conductive connectors, gaskets, battery electrode components, and housings for small electrical appliances.

Specific uses
Among basic electrical components, aluminum discs can be processed into aluminum capacitor housings, end caps, conductive transformer fittings, and shielding components.
In the field of heat-dissipating electrical parts, they serve as core raw materials for LED lighting module heat sinks and heat dissipation fins for electrical equipment.
Aluminum discs can also be used to manufacture gaskets, conductive connectors, housings for small electrical appliances, and components for battery electrodes.
How to choose aluminum circle alloy
1. 1000 Series Pure Aluminum (1050/1060/1070/1100)
- 1060: A mainstream, general-purpose grade offering a balance of electrical conductivity, formability, and flatness; suitable for the vast majority of standard electrical components and offers the best cost-performance ratio.
- 1050: Features superior plasticity and stable deep-drawing performance with low cracking risk; ideal for complex, irregularly shaped, and ultra-thin precision drawn parts.
- 1070: Ultra-high purity with minimal impurities and top-tier electrical conductivity; suitable for precision, high-frequency electrical components requiring conductivity and heat dissipation.
- 1100: Offers slightly improved corrosion resistance; suitable for mass-produced, standardized indoor general-purpose components.
2. 3003 Aluminum-Manganese Alloy
Strengthened by the addition of manganese, it boasts 20% higher strength than the 1000 series and offers excellent rust, vibration, and fatigue resistance. While electrical conductivity is slightly lower, it still meets standard electrical requirements. Suitable for components operating in humid or outdoor environments, or under high-power and high-frequency vibration conditions.
3. 5052 Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy
Features excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and impact resistance, and allows for precision forming. Electrical conductivity is moderate, making it unsuitable for purely conductive components; primarily used for load-bearing or pressure-resistant structural parts in industrial electrical equipment.
4. 6061 Aluminum-Magnesium-Silicon Alloy
A heat-treatable alloy offering high hardness and dimensional stability (zero deformation). Due to poor plasticity and difficulty in stamping or drawing, it is used exclusively for heavy-duty structural components—such as mounts and supports—that do not require complex forming.
