Main alloys

1060/1100 Pure Aluminum Discs

1000 series pure aluminum is characterized by high purity, excellent ductility, and a smooth surface finish. It offers stable stamping and deep-drawing performance, good thermal conductivity, and atmospheric corrosion resistance, while being highly compatible with welding, polishing, and anodizing processes.

1060 and 1100 are common grades for automotive parts; due to their relatively low strength, they are primarily used for non-load-bearing, decorative, and heat-dissipation components.

These discs are typically supplied in O or H14 tempers, with thicknesses ranging from 0.3mm to 2.0mm (predominantly thin gauges). Key applications include automotive light reflectors, interior decorative discs, air conditioning vent covers, and small heat-dissipation gaskets. Post-forming, they can be spray-coated or anodized to meet automotive interior aesthetic requirements.

3003 Aluminum Alloy Discs

3003 aluminum discs are made from an aluminum-manganese alloy designed for corrosion resistance; the addition of manganese to pure aluminum provides a balance of strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance. Available in thicknesses ranging from 0.4mm to 10.0mm, common tempers include O, H12, H14, and H24.

Compared to 1000 series pure aluminum, this alloy offers superior resistance to deformation while retaining excellent deep-drawing capabilities. It ensures stable forming and high dimensional accuracy, making it suitable for the demanding conditions of automotive applications.

Major applications include wheel hub caps, fuel tank decorative covers, body protection discs, automotive electronic housings, and air conditioning system components, offering a balance of processability and cost-efficiency. 3005 aluminum discs offer similar performance but with superior corrosion resistance, making them suitable for high-end decorative parts and exposed components.

5052/5754 Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy Discs

Represented by grades 5052 and 5754, 5000 series aluminum-magnesium alloys feature high strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance, making them suitable for high-end and load-bearing automotive components.

5052 aluminum alloy offers good resistance to oil, high and low temperatures, and impact, making it suitable for chassis and fuel system applications; 5754 alloy features excellent toughness and fatigue resistance, making it ideal for components subject to prolonged vibration.

5-series aluminum discs are commonly supplied in O-temper or H14-temper, with standard thicknesses ranging from 1.0 mm to 8.0 mm. They are primarily used for fuel tank covers, chassis protective discs, brake gaskets, auxiliary structural components, and lightweight parts for new energy vehicles, offering superior service life and reliability compared to 1-series and 3-series alloys.
